Commencement Dinner is traditionally the first MAD social event of the year. The dinner is held in anticipation and celebration of the year MAD hopes to enjoy. A delicious meal is always eaten and a lot of booze is always drunk as MAD helps to pay for a wonderful evening for all its members. This year's Comencement Dinner was held at Sofia Pizza Restaurant in Camberwell on the 14th of March at 7:30pm. The night was a great success!

Don't get this confused with the Public Debate! This is MAD's craziest social event of the year. A comedic debate that is held backwards, so dessert is eaten first and the adjudication starts the debate. The adjudicator sets up the debate for speakers to follow and it's the only debate of the year where the 1st affirmative speaks last! Six of MAD's best and brightest will speak, including a selection of old hacks, some middle aged MADdies as well as a few 1st year faces to ensure that no one is spared from hilarious stunts and embarrassing challenges.

MAD's gala event of the year. Our equivalent to a faculty ball yet much more intimate, enjoyable and due to MAD's financial assistance, a heck of a lot better value for money. Usually held at a restaraunt around Melbourne, MADdies eat and drink to their heart's content. During and after dinner MADdies hit the dance floor and an outing to a pub or club after the restaraunt kicks us out is generally in order. Dress to impress for this not to be missed event.
